A professional IT and data management system enables you to optimize how you use information and improve your competitive position. It includes processes and technologies to record, store and organize data and to make it accessible. These systems aim to optimize strategic decisions and operational processes. We set out how you can achieve this in our whitepaper on IT and data management.
This whitepaper sets out how you can ensure that your IT and data management systems are efficient, secure and sustainable in order to prevent disruption and enhance your company’s competitive position.
The vital importance of professional IT and data management
An online survey of 1,100 employees in Germany has shown that IT disruption is part of day-to-day reality in many companies. In fact, 57% of respondents claimed that IT-related disruption in their company was getting worse.
In addition, 35% of the solutions put in place are only temporary fixes. Over the long term, this raises the risk of errors creeping into company data.
While new technologies offer a route out of this quagmire, 56% of employees reported feeling stressed by technical developments. This is due, in part, to the fact that two-thirds of companies introduce new technologies without providing training.
Balancing act: digitalizing at pace without overwhelming employees
While digitalization offers opportunities, overloading employees remains a risk. So, how can companies manage this tension? A solid foundation already exists, as 63% of respondents see new tools as an asset. Yet, employees still have demands, as 71% believe there is an urgent need for a fundamental cultural shift.
