Norderstedt, May 5, 2021 – Data protection and information security are becoming increasingly relevant in industry. The rising incidence of cybercrime and the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) make secure handling of information a necessity. The fact that data protection and information security are top priorities for Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) is now proven by the TISAX certification that the IT consulting company has achieved in a three-day assessment.
Secure handling of customer data and assets
In the course of the certification, all processes relating to information security and data protection were examined, documented and optimized. In addition to internal business processes, this includes in particular the interfaces to LHIND customers and suppliers. The focus of this certification was set on the Wolfsburg, Oldenburg and Norderstedt sites, from which LHIND's automotive clients are served. LHIND passed the assessment without any complaints. In each of the areas audited, the auditors were able to determine that the secure handling of customer data and assets is guaranteed even in the event of an emergency.

Lufthansa's IT security experts also rate the subsidiary's certification with the cross-industry standard as a groundbreaking success. Knowledge transfer: LHIND will support its clients at TISAX assessments
The assessment not only secures LHIND's long-term cooperation with its customers in the automotive industry: since the TISAX certificate has a major impact on the entire automotive industry, LHIND is already thinking ahead. In the future, the IT company wants to pass on its existing expertise and the experience gained in the testing process to companies facing this extremely comprehensive but also elementary certification. In this way, LHIND is expanding its range of services.
