Norderstedt, May 22, 2017 – Dirk Bähr, 51, will be taking over as head of the Procurement and Internal Services service unit of Lufthansa Industry Solutions on June 1, 2017. This 51-year-old economist comes straight from Lufthansa Cargo, where he most recently served as head of the Financial Steering and Services department. Dirk Bähr will report directly to Bernd Appel, Managing Director of Lufthansa Industry Solutions.
At Lufthansa Cargo, Dirk Bähr was responsible for internal reporting, as well as for optimizing and further developing the processes and IT applications in the area of Finance and Accounting, helming one team in Frankfurt and another in Norderstedt. Dirk Bähr was working for the cargo airline as early as 1990, managing the departments of Sales Accounting, Task Force and Training in Norderstedt, and later Process Development and Support at the same location, among other things.
Dirk Bähr will be taking over the position of Ingo Pietruska, Vice President Business Unit “Services” at Lufthansa Industry Solutions, who until now has been managing the department in addition to his duties as head of the Services Business Unit. Ingo Pietruska will also continue to supervise various special projects at Lufthansa Industry Solutions.
