Norderstedt, April 21, 2017 – Robots that build other robots. Machines that learn from their mistakes. Energy systems that manage themselves with the utmost efficiency. What sounds like science fiction will be a living, breathing reality for visitors at the upcoming Hannover Messe 2017. From April 24th to 28th, more than 6,500 exhibitors from 70 nations will present technologies for tomorrow's factories and energy systems in an action-packed industrial technology showcase themed “Integrated Industry – Creating Value”.
Lufthansa Industry Solutions will hold a presentation at the Forum “Industrie 4.0 meets the Industrial Internet”. Many industrial applications require the acquisition of process data using sensors. A large number of solutions are provided to make such data available for further processing. Practice shows, however, that the obvious solution is not always the best solution. Dr. Holger Schlüter, Associate Director IoT/Industrie 4.0, will be providing in his presentation “Obtaining sensor data in practice” a brief overview of current projects concerning sensor data acquisition in the industrial sector. The presentation will be on Tuesday at 11:30 am.
Furthermore Lufthansa Industry Solutions will be presenting, as a guest, its IT solutions at the following exhibition stands:
- Lufthansa Industry Solutions and sensor producer Balluff (Hall 9, Booth F53) will be showing how to facilitate predictive maintenance for tools. The new Smart Mold-ID system collects data from sensors on injection molding equipment, transfers them to the cloud, and visualizes them on a mobile terminal.
- Locating supplies or monitoring persons in danger zones: the Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™ makes it possible to pinpoint nearby objects in real time. Pepperl + Fuchs is showing how this works in practice with a Quuppa installation from Lufthansa Industry Solutions in Hall 9, Booth D76.
- At the joint booth of Plattform Industrie 4.0 und Labs Network Industrie 4.0 (Hall 8, Booth D24) Lufthansa Industry Solutions' joint Use Case with the German Association for Marine Technology with the topic of “Predictive Maintenance of Offshore Wind Parks” will be presented.
