Norderstedt, February 20, 2018 – Digital thinking, creativity, flexibility and innovations are elementary requirements when it comes to leadership, process control and competitiveness in the digital world. However, archaic corporate structures are scaring off motivated employees and creative, digitally oriented people. The traditional culture must become more agile, open and tolerant. But does this sort of culture always bring forth solutions that are suitable for use in the company – especially in times when security is more than ever a central concern?
This is the question posed by speakers Christian Graszt (Knüppel Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG) and Heiko Packwitz (Lufthansa Industry Solutions) of the roundtable discussion “Digital Transformation and Corporate Culture: Change or Die?” at the Hamburg IT-Strategietage. Together with those attending, these IT experts will illustrate the conflicting priorities of agility and tradition, discussing how companies can hold their own despite digital Darwinism. What may work for young companies can cause conflicts and even chaos in the evolved structures of traditional companies. How can they hold their own in the face of digital Darwinism?
In his presentation "The end of planning as we know it - Perspectives on Digitalization" on 22 February at 3 p. m. in the plenary session, Dr. Christian Langer, Vice President Digital Strategy, Innovation and Transformation, Lufthansa Group, will discuss the effects of complex corporate structures on the digitalization and planning approach.
